Claptone is a Berlin based electronic act founded in 2012. Claptone is a character who performs in a gold Venetian mask and is anonymous.

Initially releasing club tracks, Claptone has now created a debut artist album featuring an array of indie/ alternative singers that will cross between dance and indie markets.

The album contains guest vocals from Peter, Bjorn & John, Nathan Nicholson from Boxer Rebellion, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Young Galaxy, Say Yes Dog and many more talented singers from the live music world.

In addition to original music, Claptone have been successful remixers and in 2015 will release remixes for Gregory Porter and Faithless (for their 20th anniversary package).

Claptone Brand: The gold mask is central to the brand and at key shows we give out masks to fans to create an engaging atmosphere that connects the act to the dancefloor.

Unlike other acts who use the mask as a disguise, Claptone will encourage fans to wear masks and become absorbed in their world.

There is a Claptone app which enables fans to add a gold mask to their photo library digitally. There is currently a digital campaign launching that invites fans to share their photos with #clapyourself - this will develop over the coming months

Touring: Claptone perform 150 DJ shows per year in every part of the world from 1000 cap clubs to the world’s biggest festivals.

In 2015 the act is evolving from DJ set to live audio-visual show that has been put together with a creative director who has worked with Gorillaz live show and Radiohead.

The audio-visual show is an immersive main stage presentation and is now being booked for summer 2015 at key festivals in Europe.

The agenda is to create an act that appeals to fans of indie as well as electronic so as the album campaign builds so Claptone will perform on more diverse line-ups and events.

Popular territories for touring include; Germany, UK, France, Benelux, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, Peru, Chile, Australia, Spain, Italy, Ireland and beyond…

Claptone Masquerade events; curated mask parties will evolve over the next 12 months with key promoters.
