The Count & Sinden have been honing their debut album and road testing the tracks over the past year. From the US to Japan, Australia and all across Europe and the UK, Mega has been the biggest tune of their sets…
Mega is un-categoriseable funkiness from the Devil’s genius node….. a breakdown to end all breakdowns followed by a scything hypnotic rhythm with a perfectly formed and unforgettable melody riding bare back gleefully over the whole damn thang… we love it. ‘Mega’ is like a samurai sword ….. Beautifully crafted and deadly.
The Count and Sinden are also occasionally allowed out of the studio. At the end of 2008, they launched their own club night. MEGA MEGA MEGA is all about big lineups in small clubs, with the boys bringing in their mates and collaborators to DJ in a dark little club with a big sound system. The initial run of parties saw DJ sets from the likes of Toddla T, Skream and Chase & Status. This June they outdid themselves again with a broad range of exciting and eclectic guests from Fake Blood and the Scratch Perverts through to L-Vis 1990 and chart topper Calvin Harris.
To cap it all off, the boys have teamed up with Red Bull to throw their biggest one yet – the MEGA MEGA MEGA summer throwdown - a massive all nighter at Scrutton Street Warehouse on Saturday 25 July. Kissy Sell Out, Plastician, Example (Live) & DJ Wire, Jack Beats and Dollop DJs will all be playing alongside our heroes, The Count and Sinden. This is going to be a summer sweat that you don’t want to miss!
