"2009 is the 15th year for us, and looks set to be one of the most exciting yet.  The combination of roster favorites and new artists strikes the perfect balance for me. Seeing in the new year with Grace Jones is the perfect way to start and with new albums from Wall of Sound figure-heads REVEREND and THE MAKERS, MONGREL and OCELOT it takes me back to the roots of the label and the reasons I started doing this in the first place. Developing and breaking new music and artists have always been so important to the label. There's even talk of a PROPELLERHEADS album too! NUURRSSSEE !!!!!!!"

– Mark Jones, MD Wall Of Sound

2009 will see iconic record label Wall of Sound celebrating its 15th glorious year with a run of dazzling releases and a series of incredible events that kick off with a pair of Wall of Sound extravaganzas featuring the cream of the roster, past and present.

The recent Grace Jones shows have set the tone for what is shaping up to be the labels biggest year yet. There’s a series of huge album releases lined up for 2009 from the likes of heavyweight indie-rap supergroup Mongrel, the mighty Reverend And The Makers, and transatlantic wizards Ocelot - and that’s just for starters. From the heady days of the early ‘90s when Mark Jones released the legendary ‘Give Em Enough Dope’ compilations, and evolved to have both commercial and critical success with Propellerheads, The Bees, Royksopp, Blak Twang, Wiseguys, Zootwoman and Les Rhythmes Digitales (aka Stuart Price/Jaques Le Cont) Wall of Sound has always walked the finest line between sublimely cutting edge club cuts and accessibly credible pop music. 2009 will be no exception.
